Director,  Learning Development and Communication Skills Department

• Lead the department of Learning Development and Communication Skills 

• Meet with students in the basic sciences and accelerated review program to refine their approach to learning

• Host workshops with students and faculty related to education and communication skills

• Teach the Study Skills and Professional Communications Class

• Coordinate the mentor program

• Serve on committees: Diversity & Inclusion, Examination, Student Promotions & Appeals,  Institutional Review Board

President, Learning Specialist Association of Canada

• Providing strategic direction and leadership to the organization.

• Overseeing the implementation of policies and decisions made by the Board of Directors. 

Director, Learning Strategies Unit

• Collaborate closely with the School of Medicine, School of Veterinary Medicine, School of Arts and Sciences, School of Graduate Studies Committees, Academic Advising and Developmental Support Office and senior members of the Dean of Basic Sciences to monitor students’ academic progress 

• Oversight of time-off, portfolios, assessments, reporting, curriculum, office logistics, relationship management for team and alignment with other units, departments and schools

• Lead a team of 17 strategists towards highly innovative and proactive plans to support student success

Co-Director, Medical School Assessment Program

• Manage and continuously update roster of students with admissions team

• Send out pre-program correspondence and crucial updates throughout program 

• Release examinations and send information regard times and access information

• Compile data to generate reports on watch times from video management system (panopto), student appointment system (insight) and quiz scores (examsoft)
