Medical Education Learning Specialist
● Design and develop individual and group academic support services to help students develop more efficient and effective strategies and to improve their exam performance.
● Give presentations and facilitate workshops for audiences ranging in size from 3 to 1200.
● Be informed of and skilled in research and techniques relating to improving time management; focus; memorizing; long-term memory; integration of content; test preparation; multiple-choice test-taking for university and national standardized exams, such as the USMLE (United States Medical Licensing Examination); learning assessments and applications; information processing and selecting the main idea.
Advising
For several years, I served as an advisor for undergraduate cohorts of students in the premedical groups and students in their first term of medical school.
